A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Loan Closet has basic dish packs containing dinner plates, bowls, silverware. basic serving ware, and cookware
The Loan Closet is located at the Military and Family Readiness Center, building 5620. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed all federal holiday's and AFMC Family Days. The newcomer must present a copy of his/her PCS orders in order to borrow items. Items are loaned for up to 30 days. If there is a need to request an extension, the newcomer must contact the M&FRC. Active-duty military and family members on PCS orders have first priority for borrowing items.

Located at building 7211, Kincheloe Avenue, the Thrift Shop is operated by volunteers of the Edwards Spouse Club. The Thrift Shop takes donations and consignments.

Donations can be made at any time during store hours or placed in the bin on the back dock after hours. Donations are not accepted during summer months.

The Airman’s Attic is located at building 7211, Kincheloe Avenue. Edwards Air Force Base Airman's Attic serves active-duty service members and their families E-6 and below. Although the Airman’s Attic is open to ranks E-1 through E-6, usually E-1 through E-3 are given priority on larger household items. The Airman’s Attic is operated by volunteers and is overseen by the Top Three, a group of first sergeants. For more information or to volunteer, call 661-277-2246 or DSN 312-527-2246.
