Library programs differ by branch of service. You may have access to things like tutoring, educational courses, online programs and a variety of print and electronic materials. Hours, contact information and closings can be found here or by calling your installation’s library.
The Air Force Library Program offers resources for airmen, guardians, and their families in all locations and military stages.
Installation libraries play an important role in Air Force and Space Force professional life. They offer technical publications to support job requirements and opportunities for career development. You can earn college degrees and certifications, update promotion packages, prepare for transition or retirement, and more. Many resources are available online through the Air Force website.
Installation libraries also offer community programs such as story times and summer reading programs. There are author and book talks, as well as events to celebrate holidays and Air Force and Space Force heritage events. Most libraries also offer access to computers, internet, and basic office equipment like copiers and faxing services. Programs and services vary by location, so contact your local installation library for more information.
All Defense Department service members and their families can also use the online DOD MWR Libraries. The online libraries provide an array of resources for children and adults. Library materials circulate for 2 weeks with up to 2 renewal periods:
Renewals and Holds
Renewable materials may be renewed up to 2 times and may be renewed over the phone if not over due. Materials may not be renewed if they are overdue or on hold for another patron. Holds may be placed by phone or at the circulation desk.
Limits
DVD loans are limited to a total of five per patron, other items are unlimited.
Computer Use -- Dependants under 18 may only use the computers with the consent of the sponsor. Consent forms are available at the circulation desk at the Children's Library and a consent log is kept at the circulation desk at the Main Library.
Children's Library
Story Time - Toddlers and pre-school children are invited every Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 a.m. to a wonderful sotry time and to create a very unique craft project. Volunteer readers are welcome!
Stem Resources - The Library offers a wide selection of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) educational materials including: Ozobots, Cubelets, SNAP Circuits, Microscope & Slide Preparations, Plant & Animal Cell Models and more. Come see our bots, 3-D printer and full catalog of resources and brochures to spur your creativity.
Summer Reading Program -- The Summer Reading Program encourages reading through an incentive program and the use of entertaining and educational presentations.
