When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Soldiers arriving at Fort Bragg should report to the Fort Bragg Reception Company, Bldg 4-1437 on Normandy drive across from the CYS facility, Tolson Youth Activity Center. Unaccompanied SGT and below are authorized a barracks room. SSG and below are assigned a platoon to complete their in-processing
The Fort Bragg Reception Company is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, to assist newly assigned Soldiers and their families. The Fort Bragg Reception Company’s telephone number is 910-396-4250, DSN 312-236-4250.
All Soldiers signed into the Reception Company will receive an in-processing brief and packet to assist them with in-processing into installation activities and agencies. Soldiers are allotted 5 duty days to complete the in-processing checklist and sign out from the Reception Company.
Soldiers being assigned to Student Detachment/Medical hold at WAMC will sign in to WAMC located off the All American Expressway.
Soldiers arriving at Fort Bragg in a training status (AIT) will report to the assigned Student Brigade.

After signing into Fort Bragg Reception Company all Officers must report to the Officer Management Division (OMD) located at the Soldier Support Center, 2nd Floor, Wing A, to in-process and verify orders. Chaplain’s need to report to the Installation Chaplain’s Office, Bldg 1-2336, located on Hamilton St. to receive their assignment memorandum prior to in-processing OMD.
SSG and above and Soldiers accompanied by their family can make temporary housing arrangements before they report. The on post reservation office is located at Moon Hall 910-396-7700 or the Landmark Inn 910-495-1215.
The Postal Service is classified as an essential government service operation, which allows them to continue operations.Customers will be asked to limit the Post Office lobby to no more than 10 people at a time, and keep a minimum of 6 feet between yourself and others.USPS will conduct all passport application services by appointment only.
Soldiers must bring a complete copy of their orders and any amendments bringing them to Fort Bragg, and their DA Form 31, Request and Authority for Leave Form, to sign-in.
Medical and dental records, finance receipts and paperwork, original marriage certificate if married, as well as proper military uniform are required to complete in-processing.
Air: Fayetteville Regional Airport (400 Airport Road, Suite 1, Fayetteville, NC 28306) is serviced by two main airlines: US Airways Express, with daily service to its Charlotte, NC hub, and Delta Air Lines, with daily service to its Atlanta hub. Bus: Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) is the City of Fayetteville's public transportation system. FAST operates a fleet of 27 fixed-route buses on 19 routes to provide service Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM, Saturday from 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM. In addition, 18 FASTTRAC! vehicles provide paratransit service to customers with disabilities that are unable to use the fixed-route system. See FASTTRAC! Train: Fayetteville's Amtrak train station is at 472 Hay Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301-5563 . Four Amtrak trains travel to and from New York and Miami every morning and evening. For more information, call 910-483-2658. Hours: - 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. AND - 10 p.m. to 5:45 a.m.
Taxi: There are many taxi/cab companies in the Fayetteville area.
In order to prevent any undue financial burdens and hardships, it is strongly recommended that any soldiers who are married while en route to Fort Bragg report to Fort Bragg unaccompanied.
