Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Fort Hamilton Child Development Center Serves children, 4 weeks through 5 years of age.
Fort Hamilton Child Development Center programs encourage a positive, loving and nurturing atmosphere in a safe, clean environment which allows children to choose their activities in a variety of learning centers.
The CDC offers Full Day, Hourly, Part Day, and Pre-Kindergarten care, is fully DoD certified, and can provide for special needs children. Hourly care is available by reservation. Respite care is available on the installation.
Priority of service is in the following order: Active Military Single Parents/ Active Military Dual Parents/DoD Civilians. Contractors and retirees on a space available basis.
Cost of care is based on a sliding scale, dependent upon the total family income and fee policy guidance.
The CDC does have a waiting list, Sponsors can apply to the waitlist on Militarychildcare.com.

The School-Age Program offers safe, developmentally-appropriate care before and after school, and all day during school breaks.
Summer Camp operates during July and August. Contact CYS Parent Central to Register 718-630-4805/4518.
