If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
Service members assigned to CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico military installations, call toll free 1-877-272-7337 to receive assistance during non-business hours or if you are not near a military installation.
Family members of service members assigned to CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico military installations, call toll free 1-877-272-7337 to notify a service member of an emergency situation.
Army Emergency Relief (AER) provides emergency financial assistance in the form of an interest-free loan, grant or combination of the two.

Emergency assistance through AER can be obtained at Army Community Service, building 86, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If emergency assistance is needed after hours, weekends and holidays or if you are not near an AER office, the American Red Cross can assist you and can be contacted at 877-272-7337.
