With certain military moves, you may find yourself looking for housing that’s a little less permanent before making long-term arrangements. There are several temporary housing options that may be right for you. Explore the information about temporary housing facilities including allowances, lodging rates and eligibility.
At this time Grand Forks AFB has very limited lodging capacity for this upcoming PCS season. If you have not already done so, book lodging ASAP by calling the Warrior Inn Lodging office at DSN 362-7200 or COMM (701) 747-7200, Monday-Friday 0700-1700.
Incoming military and DOD civilians who need temporary lodging on base can make reservations in advance. All reservations must be accompanied by a copy of your PCS orders or order number, date of orders, and issuing headquarters. Priority is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Lodging offers 6 Temporary Lodging Facilities (TLFs) designed only for families with children; 3 rooms are designed to accept pets. There are no pet-friendly rooms for singles or couples. Call the lodging office at the Warrior Inn for current rates and availability.
The mission at the Warrior Inn is to provide the guest with a clean, comfortable stay for a good night’s rest on Grand Forks AFB. The front desk is staffed from 0700-1700 Monday-Friday to assist you. There is an after-hours number to contact staff if needed. When checking in, DOD identification must be shown. There are 16 total rooms available to include 1 room available for the physically challenged. All Air Force Inn rooms are non-smoking and all violators may be charged a cleaning fee of up to $150.00. Contact your unit appointed sponsor for information about in-processing procedures and a local area newcomer packet.
Check out at the Warrior Inn is 11:00 am. Additional fees are assessed for late checkouts. If you anticipate check out delay please immediately notify the front desk. The Warrior Inn lodging staff will secure your luggage if necessary. At the time of checkout secure your guest room and return the key to the front desk.
The current rates are $85.00 per night for Visiting Quarters, $94.00 per night for Temporary Lodging Facilities and $94.00 per night for pet friendly quarters with an additional pet fee of $10.00.
IAW AFM 34-246, lodging guests must provide a valid credit card at time of check-in. Warrior Inn Lodging at Grand Forks AFB is no longer accepting cash or checks. All guests checking in using a credit card will sign the guest registration form that advises them lodging is authorized to apply any unpaid charges to their credit card. All long-term guests will have their credit card processed for charges incurred over the past 15 days.
The Grand Forks AFB Warrior Inn temporary living facility has 3 pet-friendly units. Pet-friendly rooms are only available for rooms with families and children. There are no pet-friendly rooms for singles or couples with pets. A copy of the pet shot records are required upon check-in. A list of boarding kennels and veterinarians are available from your sponsor or by calling the Airman & Family Readiness Center. The Warrior Inn front counter is staffed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist you. Please feel free to contact them with any suggestions, comments or problems.
To assist as many customers as possible, the maximum length of stay in the temporary living facility's are as follows:
Inbound personnel may be allowed to stay for a period not to exceed 30 days. Outbound personnel may be allowed access to the TLFs on a space-available basis only for a period not to exceed 30 days. Stays beyond this are handled on a case-by-case basis. Personnel in PCS status or on Temporary Duty to Grand Forks AFB must present a copy of orders upon check-in for verification; a copy will not be kept.
Warrior Inn Lodging is no longer accepting Space A reservations.
Personnel who are in Permanent Change of Station status, or bona fide house-hunters on permissive Temporary Duty assignment, may make reservation requests with the Lodging Office up to three months in advance of the date of arrival.
Reservation requests are accepted on a first-come, first served basis without regard to rank. Personnel, or their sponsors, who are PCSing to Grand Forks may make the request for reservations. A copy of PCS orders must be provided to the Warrior Inn lodging office before or at the time of registration.
House-hunters will be required to provide a copy of their permissive TDY orders or leave authorization, as well as a copy of the PCS, retirement or separation orders at the time of registration.
Reservation requests accepted by the Warrior Inn lodging office cannot be confirmed until space is available. Contact the Warrior Inn front desk as soon as possible before arrival to determine the status of your reservation.
All Air Force Inn rooms are non-smoking.
In-House Fitness Center
Open 24 hours, 7 days a week and is available for all guests. Your room key will unlock the door to multiple cardiovascular machines. The staff is available to assist in answering any of your questions regarding use of this area Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
