A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Loan Locker is available with items that will help make your in-bound or out-bound transition a little easier. Some of the items that can be found include: dishes, pots and pans, iron, ironing boards, card tables, silverware, folding chairs, small electrical appliances and other items for loan while your household goods are in transit. A Fam-pak for a family of four or six is a one-of-a-kind container which can be quickly checked out or you can choose items a-la-cart.
NOTE: Place the following items in unaccompanied baggage: sheets, pillows and blankets.
Items from the Loan Locker are checked out for 30 days while awaiting the arrival or departure of your household goods shipment. If you are arriving from overseas, extensions can be arranged. The Loan Locker is located in the Grand Forks Airman and Family Readiness Center and items are available for checkout. Please contact the A&FRC for the most up-to-date information at 701-747-3241.
