If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
For emergency assistance, the Holloman Air Force Base Security Forces can be contacted at 575-572-7171 or DSN 312-572-7171.
If you are a victim of sexual assault, domestic violence or interpersonal violence (sexual harassment, workplace violence etc..) Please contact Holloman Victims' Counsel office at Commercial 575-572-4941, DSN: 572-4941, or email at org box 49wg.svc.specialvictims@us.af.mil.
Make sure you carry important papers with you. Carry phone numbers for your commander, unit css and sponsor. If an emergency need arises, please contact the Military and Family Readiness Center at 575-572-7754 or DSN 312-572-7754 for information, referral and assistance. After duty hours, contact the Command Post at 575-572-4900 or DSN 312-572-4900.

In the case of an unexpected notification of a serious illness/death of an immediate or extended family member, the Air Force Aid Society collaborates with the American Red Cross (ARC) to process emergency travel applications for eligible Airmen, Guardians and their dependent families. To apply for emergency assistance call the ARC at 1-877-272-7337 and be prepared to provide: 1) Itinerary to show cost of airfare 2) AF Form 98, Leave Authorization or AF Form 972, Request and Authorization for Emergency Leave Travel.
For assistance after duty hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays, contact the American Red Cross After Hours Support Section at 877-272-7337. There is also a Salvation Army in Alamogordo. Contact them at 575-443-0845.
