Temporary Lodging Facility

Eligibility

•    TDY – Treated as Space A unless orders show family accompany  
•    Space A personnel are eligible to stay in lodging. They can make reservations 30 days in advance of date of their arrival for up to 7 days stay, space permitting

Reservations
Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made using a government or personal credit card. If temporary lodging is not available the reservation clerks can assist you in making recommendations for local hotel/motel reservations and provide Non-Availability (NA) letter. Pets are only permitted in the  7 pet-friendly TLF units and 7 pet friendly VQ Rooms. If you need a pet-friendly unit, you should make your reservations as far in advance as possible. There is an additional fee of $10 per day for these units. 

There are several pet boarding facilities in the vicinity of Joint Base Charleston. Remember, it is a good idea to make advance reservations for pet boarding as soon as you know your arrival date. Most kennels have different vaccination requirements, so call in advance of delivering a pet for boarding.

Air Force
On-base lodging is available at the Inns of Charleston. Reservations can be made in advance by calling 843-963-8000 or DSN 312-673-8000. If on-base lodging is not available, lodging will provide a Non-Availability letter. Single members, E4 and below with less than three years active duty, will be assigned a dormitory room upon arrival.

Location
The Inns of Charleston is located on the Air Base; entering from Dorchester Rd gate, proceed through the traffic light, turn left at the first stop sign, proceed on Arthur Drive, the Inns of Charleston is on the right.
 
BEQ/BOQ
For Airman, during normal duty hours single enlisted or geographically separated enlisted members should contact their Orderly Room for assignment to a dormitory room. JB Charleston (AB) does not have Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) or Bachelor Officer Quarters (BOQ).
