• Space A personnel are eligible to stay in lodging. They can make reservations 120 days in advance of date of their arrival for up to 3 days stay, space permitting, pay in advance.

September - November

• $175.00 for Visitors Quarters (VQ)
• $208.00 for Distinguished Visitors Quarters (DVQ)
• $162.00 for 2 Bedroom TLF houses (TLF)  Bedrooms (currently closed for renovation; anticipate reopening early FY24)
• $10 pet fee per night in pet-friendly rooms (currently no pet-friendly TLF units)

December - February

• $150.00 for Visitors Quarters (VQ)
• $167.00 for Distinguished Visitors Quarters (DVQ)

Reservations

Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made using a government or personal credit card. If temporary lodging is not available the reservation clerks can assist you in making recommendations for local hotel/motel reservations. Many of the hotels accept pets. No pets are allowed in lodging with the exception of three pet-friendly TLF units (pending completion of renovation in FY23). If you need a pet-friendly unit, you should make your reservations as far in advance as possible. There is an additional fee of $10 per day for these units. There are several pet boarding facilities in the vicinity of Joint Base Charleston. Remember, it is a good idea to make advance reservations for pet boarding as soon as you know your arrival date. Most kennels have different vaccination requirements, so call in advance of delivering a pet for boarding.

Air Force

On-base lodging is available at the Inns of Charleston. There are currently no pet-friendly TLF units. Reservations can be made in advance by calling 843-963-8000 or DSN 312-673-8000. If on-base lodging is not available, lodging will provide a list of off-base motels/hotels. Single members, E4 and below with less than three years active duty, will be assigned a dormitory room upon arrival.

Location

The Inns of Charleston is located on the Air Base; entering from Dorchester Rd gate, proceed through the traffic light, turn left at the first stop sign, proceed on Arthur Drive, the Inns of Charleston is on the right.

Pet Restrictions

BEQ/BOQ

For Airman, during normal duty hours single enlisted or geographically separated enlisted members should contact their Orderly Room for assignment to a dormitory room. JB Charleston (AB) does not have Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) or Bachelor Officer Quarters (BOQ).
