Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
Note: Visits are by appointment only due to COVID-19.
The Family Readiness Program at the Airman and Family Readiness Center provides essential information and services designed to minimize the stress associated with mission-related separations.
There are many programs available to families who experience temporary duty assignments of 30 or more days, deployments and remote tours. These programs will be briefed to each service member when they attend their A&FRC in- or out-processing briefings.
Pre-deployment briefings are held on the first and third Monday of every month at the Sablich Center (Building 701); post-deployment briefings are held every Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Sablich Center. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend these briefings.
We look forward to serving you and your family. The A&FRC can be reached at 228-376-8728 orDSN 312-591-8728.
