The Falcon Loan complements the Air Force Aid Society's standard emergency assistance program. It is a loan of $1000 or less that can be used for the following types of emergency needs:
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is not yet a reciprocal agreement between AFAS, Army Emergency Relief, Coast Guard Mutual Assistance or Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society to process streamlined loans.
American Red Cross
The Mid-Rio Grande Chapter of the American Red Cross provides services to Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque and the following 19 counties which include: Bernalillo, Colfax, Curry, DeBaca, Guadalupe, Harding, Los Alamos, Mora, Quay, Rio Arriba, Roosevelt, Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, Socorro, Taos, Torrance, Union, and Valencia counties. Local UNITED WAY 2-1-1
The Local UNITED WAY 2-1-1 provides free information and referrals to health and human services, government agencies, and community based organizations. United Way 2-1-1 is a comprehensive source for information, better connecting our community and increasing self-sufficiency. By providing appropriate referrals to available human services, teachers, individuals, children and families are able to access resources within our community.
