A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Airman & Family Readiness Flight (A&FRF) maintains a Loan Locker for active-duty military members, family members and Department of Defense civilians who have recently arrived at Kirtland Air Force Base and are waiting for their household goods to be delivered. The Loan Locker has various household items, such as folding tables, folding chairs, dish kits, pan sets, high chairs, port-a-cribs, ironing boards, irons, vacuum cleaners and other items available at no cost. Bed linens and towels are not available due to sanitary reasons.
The Loan Locker is located in the Airman & Family Readiness Flight (A&FRF) and is open Monday to Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on weekends, federal holidays, family days and training days. The individual checking out items must have a military identification card.
