Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Marine and Family Programs operates the Quantico Child Development Center (CDC). Programs include: hourly care for 6 weeks to five years of age (based on space availability and full day care for 6 weeks of age to five years old. The Family Child Care Program provides home-based care for children ages six weeks to twelve years of age. Patrons must utilize www.MilitaryChildCare.com to access the installation waitlist and request care.
The Family Child Care program offers childcare by spouses of military members in their military housing unit. FCC providers are required to participate in an extensive training program to maintain certification. Each FCC home is licensed annually and monitored frequently. Care is provided for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Military families may request family child care by visiting MilitaryChildCare.com
Child Development Centers
Quantico’s Child and Youth Programs has two Child Development Centers aboard the base. Each center is certified by the Department of Defense (DoD) and is accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our programs include hourly care for ages 6 weeks to 5 years (up to 25 hours per week) and full-day care for 6 weeks to 5 years old.

SAC program offers a before and/or after school program for kindergarteners through middle school students at the Quantico Youth Center. Full-time care is available on school out days and summer breaks, excluding Federal Holidays. SAC hourly care is available on teacher workdays and unscheduled school closings. The SAC program is accredited through the Council on Accreditation.
SAC is also affiliated with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The BGCA curriculum (ie. Interest clubs) the SAC Program utilized tested, proven and nationally recognized programs that closely align with the developmental needs of all young people. The club activities focus on developing students in the areas of Sports & Recreation, Education, the Arts, Health & Wellness, and Character & Leadership.
Hours: 6 a.m.-8:20 a.m., 2:45 p.m.-6 p.m. on regular school days. The center adjusts its hours for early release or teacher work days
