Assignment to housing is not mandatory at Quantico. Quarters are diverse in size, shape and style.
Exceptional Family Member Program Housing
The Exceptional Family Member Program manager works in close coordination with family housing and Liberty Military Housing to meet the unique needs of EFMP families. Prior to execution of PCS orders, inbound EFMP families with a demonstrated medical necessity for priority housing on base should have their EFMP caseworker contact the Quantico EFMP office at 703-784-9395 as soon as possible. Availability of housing at MCB Quantico is limited. Homes on-base have air conditioning. Quantico EFMP Fax: 703-784-9419.
Check in for Housing
Once a service member has detached from their last command, they may check in for housing purposes prior to the official check-in to their unit. The service member with detachment orders can check in with the officer-in-charge at the installation personnel administration center, which is located on the second deck of Building 2006 (HQ BN) Hawkins Avenue. The service member then can provide endorsement and orders to the housing office to place their name on the waiting list or to accept housing. The Lincoln Military Housing office is open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Civilian attire is appropriate.
Wait Times
Wait times are subject to change weekly. Call the housing office before you detach your command because wait times range from 30 days to 12 months. While waiting for privatized housing, there are a limited number of short-term, temporary lodging facilities in the local community that service members can rent weekly or month-to-month. Many of the short-term lodging facilities accept pets, some with restrictions that require a non-refundable security deposit.
Families with two or more children, and/or pets, will find it difficult to find temporary (1- to 3-month) rentals, and may wish to consider alternate temporary arrangements.
Single Service Member Housing
Please contact the head of the Bachelor Housing Branch, G-4, at 703-784-1513
