A wide range of programs are available for youth and teens, including youth sports and recreation programs, educational programs and programs that support leadership and career development. Please review the information to learn what programs and services are available at this installation.
The Lunney Youth Center is available to youth of all ages. The Youth Center is affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the National 4-H Program. The facility contains art room, dance room, parent waiting room, games table area and gymnasium. Daily programs are scheduled with some advance sign-ups required. Special programs include lock-ins, scavenger hunts, dances, trips, Boys and Girls Club day for kids, fun and games, plus much more.
The Misawa Teen Center is for youth 13-18 years of age or 7th through 12th grade. The facility contains a lounge, computer area, art area, dance hall, and a movie theater. Each month is packed with fun activities for teens such as bowling, sports, dances, paintball, arts and crafts, field trips, and more.

School Age Care (SAC)
The Cheli SAC is designed to provide the highest quality programs and services to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The program provides a safe environment in which the children engage in a variety of skill-building activities on a daily basis. The Cheli SAC operates a before & after school program as well as summer and holiday camps. The program offers full day care on weekdays when school is not in session (to exclude U.S. observed holidays). In additon, Cheli's is closed on PACAF Days. Weekly rates are on a sliding scale based on total family income. Children attending Sollars Elementary School are walked to and from school by SAC childcare providers. The program offers childcare services to families based on their priority for care and space availability. When the program reaches capacity, families are placed on the waitlist until a space becomes available.
Youth Center
The Lunney Youth Center is available to youth 9-12 years of age. The membership fee is $30 a month. The Youth Center is affiliated with the Boys & Girls Club of America and the National 4-H Program. The facility contains art room, dance room, parent waiting room, games table area and gymnasium. Daily programs are scheduled with some advance sign-ups required. Special programs include lock-ins, scavenger hunts, dances, trips, Boys and Girls Club day for kids, fun and games, plus much more. The Youth Center is open Monday through Friday. We are close on Federal Holidays, PACAF Family days & weekend.
In addition, there are instructional classes offered at the Youth Center. To enroll in these classes you do not need to be a member of the center however being a member provides a discount. The cost of each class ranges from $20 - $75 per month. The age range for the classes is 18 months to 18 years of age (ages vary by class). Teen Center

Youth Sports Program
The Youth Sports Program is packed with year-round programs to include the following: Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Baseball / Tee Ball, Sport-A-Week, Outdoor Soccer, Flag Football, Cheerleading, and Volleyball. Registration generally opens two months before the season begins. Several skill clinics may be offered at various times throughout the year as well.
The National Alliance for Youth Sports certification is provided to our coaches. A fee is paid by Youth Programs and covers the training, annual membership, Youth Sport Coach publication, and a member card.
Youth Social Programs
Torch Club and Keystone Club -- These programs focus on community service projects and are on-going throughout the school year at the Lunney Youth Center and Misawa Teen Center.

The program manager at the Lunney Youth Center will ensure that your information is passed on to a young person, with similar interests, who will respond as your sponsor.
