Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
Relocation Assistance Program - Relocation services at Atsugi's Fleet and Family Support Center help service members, Department of Defense civilians and their families deal with the stress of moving by providing education, information and individualized assistance. It offers a variety of relocation assistance services including AOB and ICR classes; Newcomer Spouse Information, Orientation, Teen and Children's Area Orientation; Sponsorship Program; and Japanese translation services. Relocation specialists provide services to help you adjust to your move quickly and successfully whether you are arriving or departing the Naval Air Facility Atsugi area. Classes and workshops are offered to ease your transition.
Area Orientation Brief and Inter-Cultural Relations Class - Upon your arrival to NAF Atsugi, this is one of the very first classes in which you will have the opportunity to participate. During this class, you will be introduced to all the services and facilities available to you on NAF Atsugi and have the privilege of learning a vast array of Japanese culture. Please verify with your sponsor if they have made your reservation. If you would like to personally verify your reservation, feel free to contact the FFSC information desk at DSN 315-264-3372 or by dialing 011-81-0467-63-3372.
Reservations for AOB and ICR class are recommended as soon as your sponsor receives notification your PCS to NAF Atsugi. Both classes are mandatory for you to receive your Status of Forces Agreement driver’s license in Japan. However, ICR class may be waived upon email request by an E7 or above from the gaining command to the relocation program manager.
