The Military and Family Support Center is one part of a larger network of agencies, programs, services, partnerships and individuals that supports your personal and family readiness. The larger system called the Military Family Readiness System is a web of support for you and your family. The Military and Family Support Center should be one of your first stops once you arrive at a new installation. The programs and services they offer are a key resource for you and your family.

Fleet and Family Support Center Oceana is located in Building 531 on Laser Road at Naval Air Station Oceana and can be reached at 757-433-2912 or DSN 312-433-2912. Hours of FFSC Oceana are Monday-Thursday 0800-1700 and Fridays 0800-1430.
FFSC Oceana offers the following services:
Family Advocacy Program – FFSC Oceana provides clinical assessment, treatment and services for service members and their families involved in allegations of domestic and/or child abuse. The goal of the FAP is prevent intimate partner and child abuse through encouraging people to examine their own behavior and take steps to learn and practice healthier behaviors. The FAP provides a variety of interventions and treatment services to meet the needs of individuals and families. It provides counseling, clinical case management and treatment groups, and refers families to military and civilian resources as appropriate. FFSC Oceana also offers a variety of educational workshops designed to strengthen families by increasing skills to cope with family challenges and interpersonal relationships.
Counseling – FFSC Oceana provides short-term, brief solution, focused counseling and crisis intervention for active-duty service members and their families. In addition to individual and marital counseling, FFSC Oceana provides free educational classes on a variety of topics to develop and enhance skills. FFSC Oceana also provides short-term, brief solution, focused counseling for military children and families experiencing life challenges.
Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program – SAPR provides victim advocates, resource information, case management and referrals for victims of sexual assault. SAPR also provides command support, program oversight and compliance, as well as various SAPR trainings. To contact a member of the SAPR team 24/7, please utilize the following 3-tiered response: Sexual Assault Response Coordinators at 757-641-6247, a Civilian Victim Advocate at (757) 438-3037, or a Uniform Victim Advocate at 757-438-3260.
Work and Family Life Programs- FFSC Oceana provides programs and services that support mission readiness by preparing service members and their families for the physical, emotional interpersonal, and logistical demands of the military lifestyle. These include: Deployment Support, Ombudsman Program, Relocation Assistance, Transition Assistance, Personal Financial Management, Life Skills Program, Family Employment Readiness Program, Exceptional Family Member Program and Information & Referral.
Integrated Primary Prevention- The IPP Program promotes protective factors and reduces risk factors through policies, programs, and practices. CNIC’s IPP Workforce focuses on risk and protective factors that impact two or more harmful behaviors.
