MISSION:
In order to support the Fleet, Fighter and Family, our goal is to provide the highest quality base operating support and quality of life services to U.S. Navy operating forces and other assigned and visiting activities. We seek to provide the right support, at the right time, in the right amount, enabling operating forces to produce the right level of combat readiness.
VISION:
To serve as the Navy's "West Coast Quarterdeck" by directing and delivering base operating support programs and services that exceed customer expectations and contribute to the operational readiness of both ashore and afloat commands at Naval Base Coronado.
Naval Base Coronado supports the Navy's mission and drive for increased combat readiness by providing complementary and effective infrastructure in the form of runways, piers, training ranges, and facilities to Fleet operating forces, while simultaneously delivering exceptional quality of life and wellness services for our Sailors and our families.
In order to make a clinical counseling appointment at all FFSC San Diego area, call CNRSW Centralized Scheduling at 1-866-923-6478. Childcare in San Diego is a hot commodity. Our best recommendation is to register for childcare as soon as you have orders to San Diego. There are two types of Navy Sponsored Child Care available in the San Diego area. The first option is the on-base child care facilities or Child Development Centers (CDC), however, these facilities are not located at all area installations. Second option is the Navy's network of in-home child care providers, who are licensed and regulated by the CDC as well as the State of California. To check availability, please visit website. For more childcare information please see the Childcare section.
Defense Switched Network (DSN) Dialing Instructions
The DSN is the provider of long-distance communications service for the Department of Defense. Every installation has a special DSN number and the numbers vary by world-wide location.
In order to place a call using DSN the caller must be using a DSN-capable military phone on an installation. Cell phones cannot dial DSN numbers. When dialing a DSN number from/to CONUS installations as well as Alaska and Hawaii it is unnecessary to dial the DSN 312 area code. The DSN area code is required when dialing to/from overseas locations.
