If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
Army Emergency Relief
For Active-duty or Retired Military Families who find themselves in unexpected, emergency financial situations, Army Emergency Relief, or AER, may be able to provide an interest free loan, grant or loan combination. AER also provides assistance to spouses and dependents of deceased Service Members. Active-duty Soldiers can apply to Army Emergency Relief through their unit commanders. National Guard and Reservists who are on Title 10 for 31 days or more are also eligible.

The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army provides housing, utility, medical, food and other types of emergency assistance. For assistance, call 870-534-9349.
