The Pine Bluff Arsenal Child Youth and School Services opened in June 2003. The center is housed in a state of the art facility.
At this time, there are no FCC homes located on the Pine Bluff Arsenal.
Pine Bluff Arsenal Child Development Center (CDC) offers programs for children ages six weeks through five years of age. The CDC also offers a Strong Beginnings curriculum for those children entering kindergarten.
The Child Development Center's developmentally appropriate curriculum and low caregiver to child ratio ensure a supportive, comfortable, and accepting atmosphere for every child. Pine Bluff Arsenal Child Development Center programs are designed to help children promote a positive self-concept that will help them to develop into productive adults. We strive to do this by providing a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment where children and youth feel accepted and respected for being the unique person that he or she is. We provide an atmosphere where they have opportunities to participate in age-appropriate, developmental activities as part of a group or individually that fosters optimal social, emotional, physical, creative, and cognitive growth.
Due to the vast reduction of children for the Middle School Teens (MST) program, SAC and MST classes are currently joined.
School Age Center (SAC) provides before and after school care for children in Kindergarten (K) through 8th grade. All children enter a caring and supervised atmosphere where each child enjoys directed and self-directed activities at the Pine Bluff Arsenal SAC facility. Children can participate in sports/fitness program in our multi-purpose room, learn about computers in a state of the art computer lab, create unique arts and craft project, complete their homework, and stretch their young muscles on our large and well-equipped playground.
The program offers before and after school child care, school out days, and Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer camps.
Breakfast and snack are included as part of the Before and After School program. During school breaks and camps, the SAS program provides full day meals.
