Each installation provides information about the types of schools and programs offered on or near your installation for your child. Learn about the types of programs, guidelines and requirements for each school. Children living on the Pine Bluff Arsenal would attend the White Hall School District. There are no schools located on the installation. The White Hall School District consists of (4) Elementary schools, (1) Middle School, and (1) High School. All Schools are accredited annually. Average class sizes range from 20 to 30 students.
Bus Service
Bus Service is widely available at no cost. There are bus stops in each housing unit. There is an Before and After School Program located at our Child & Youth Services.
Meals
White Hall Schools offer breakfast and lunch. They are USDA guided to provide healthy and nutritious meals. There is a small after school program that offers a snack to those students. There is also a meal program that provides free and discount meals to needy families.
Sports Programs
White Hall Schools offer a wide range of sports for their students such as football, basketball, baseball, golf, Pep Club, cheerleading, softball, volleyball and trap shooting. For those students who may not be so athletic, there is band and choir. The band and choir have won many awards at the state level.
Exceptional Children Programs
White Hall Schools offer a Gifted and Talented Program as well as a Special Education Services for those students with learning disabilities. Summer School is limited at this time, however, tutoring is offered to those students who need individual time. Achievement Scores are above average.
Grading System
The grading system is as follows: A 90-100, B 80-89, C 75-79, D 70-74, F 0-69.
Registration Requirements
If you plan to register in the White Hall School system you will need a birth certificate, social security card, and proof of living in the White Hall school district such as a utility bill.
Graduation Requirements
Seniors who wish to graduate will need to have 21 credits to graduate. These credits include 4 units of English, 3 units of Social Studies, 3 units of Math, 3 units of Science, 1 unit of Physical Ed and Health, 1/2 unit of Fine Arts, 6 units of Electives and 1/2 unit oral communications.
Activities
There is a lot of extra-curricular school related activities. There is Band, Choir, Chess Club, Art Club, Band, Football, Golf, Pep Club, and many more. The band and choir has won many awards at the state level.
Children living on the Pine Bluff Arsenal would attend the White Hall School System. There are no schools located on the installation. Currently there are no children living on this installation.
There are six private schools located in this area.
The Pine Bluff Arsenal has a very small Education Center located at Army Community Service (ACS) where we offer Scholarship information and applications, assisting with study guides to prepare for ACT testing, conducting testing for most online colleges . There are several colleges located within miles of the Pine Bluff Arsenal and we have had many spouses get their degree while stationed on the Pine Bluff Arsenal.
