Library programs differ by branch of service. You may have access to things like tutoring, educational courses, online programs and a variety of print and electronic materials. Hours, contact information and closings can be found here or by calling your installation’s library.
The Air Force Library Program offers resources for airmen, guardians, and their families in all locations and military stages.
Installation libraries play an important role in Air Force and Space Force professional life. They offer technical publications to support job requirements and opportunities for career development. You can earn college degrees and certifications, update promotion packages, prepare for transition or retirement, and more. Many resources are available online through the Air Force website.
Installation libraries also offer community programs such as story times and summer reading programs. There are author and book talks, as well as events to celebrate holidays and Air Force and Space Force heritage events. Most libraries also offer access to computers, internet, and basic office equipment like copiers and faxing services. Programs and services vary by location, so contact your local installation library for more information.
All Defense Department service members and their families can also use the online DOD MWR Libraries. The online libraries provide an array of resources for children and adults. The Air Force Library Program has 91 libraries that serve more than 4.5 million customers. They circulate 3.5 million items annually and house more than 2.7 million print, audio, video and online resources. See what it can do for you and your family today.
The Base Library is the Tinker AFB community’s access to the world on information, supporting the Air Force mission, Education and Quality of life.
The library has 15 computers with Internet access. Wireless Internet access is also available. There are two study rooms available. Contact the library’s front desk to make a reservation.

Story Time is held every on Thursdays at 11 a.m. Visit the Base Library's Facebook page, "Tinker AFB Library" for updates, virtual programs and to communicate with the library staff and your fellow library patrons. The Library provides Adult and Young Adult Programming throughout the year.

MangoMango offers access to 60 foreign language courses and 17 English courses taught completely in the user’s native language. In addition to traditional language courses, Mango also offers access to a variety of specialty mini courses, like Pirate, Medical Spanish and romance courses. Mango can be accessed at the library, remotely, or even on-the-go with apps for iPhone(r), Android(tm), Kindle(r) and Nook(r).
To sign up to start learning a new language, CAC holders can register by visiting the Air Force portal. Dependents, retirees and other non-CAC holders can visit Mango Languages. Contact the Base Library at 405-734-2626 for the passcode.
LibbyLibby is an excellent resource provided by the Air Force. Set up a free account to download ebooks, audio books, music, and videos. You must sign up at the Tinker Library front desk for Libby, then you can access your account online from anywhere.
Universal ClassVisit the Tinker Library and use one of the computers to sign up for one of the free online programs and classes through Universal Class. There are over 500 courses to choose from including business, law enforcement, health services, and more.
Library ResourcesThere are resources for book reports, science projects, speeches, and much more. The library is the perfect quiet place to study with plenty of study desks and two private study rooms. Inquire about learning programs the next time you visit, or call for more information.
The library hours are Tuesday – Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday - Monday closed; closed all federal holidays.
