The Military and Family Support Center is one part of a larger network of agencies, programs, services, partnerships and individuals that supports your personal and family readiness. The larger system called the Military Family Readiness System is a web of support for you and your family. The Military and Family Support Center should be one of your first stops once you arrive at a new installation. The programs and services they offer are a key resource for you and your family.

Deployment Readiness
The Army Community Service staff at U.S. Army Garrison Benelux-Brussels is available to offer advocacy and support to families of deployed service members. In addition to ACS staff, a Military Family Life Consultant serves the Brussels community and is always available to provide support and a listening ear to those in need of a helping professional. Relocation Readiness
Relocation Readiness provides resources and tools to help you with permanent change of station and post-move orientations. These orientations include the deputy garrison manager's USAG Benelux-Brussels site brief, a guided tour of a local hospital and of a local grocery store, information about local customs and culture, and helpful basic phrases and vocabulary in French and/or Flemish. We maintain a Loan Closet from which families may borrow basic household goods as well as a microwave.
Financial Readiness
Financial Readiness offers classes on move-related topics such as buying or selling homes.
Army Volunteer Corp
Because employment opportunities in Belgium are limited, volunteering is a way of gaining skills and work experience, which can be used in employment and college applications. It is important to document your volunteer hours. There are many and varied volunteer opportunities in the Brussels community. The Transition Assistance Program
