If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. ARMY CONTINUING EDUCATION SYSTEM

Education and Training support is designed for the professional and personal development of soldiers. The Army Education Center is available on a walk-in basis and is located behind the Theatre and the Carey Fitness Center in Building 1757. University of Maryland Global Campus is the on-Post University.
COLLEGE:
University Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) has divisions in Asia, Europe and stateside. With 140 worldwide locations, Soldiers do not have to be concerned with transfer of credits when they change duty locations. UMGC-A supports the Soldiers at Camp Casey. UMGC-A offers certificate programs, Associate, Bachelor, and Graduate programs with class offerings face-to-face (F2F), on-line, Live Streaming, and blended using a combination of on-line and F2F. Enrollment terms are generally eight (8) weeks in length and are offered five (5) times per-year. F2F classes usually meet either one day-per-week, two days-per-week, and weekends.

CAMP CASEY EDUCATION CENTER:
The Camp Casey Education Center services include Counseling, college representatives, Army Personnel Testing, National Test Center, Basic Skills Education Program, and Computer labs.

COUNSELING
Counseling services range from Army Tuition Assistance and the use of GoArmyEd, Commissioning programs, GI Bill information, Credentialing opportunities, and many other non-administrative requests.

ARMY PERSONNEL TESTING:
The Camp Casey Army Personnel Testing (APT) office has seven (7) testing computers to accommodate computer based testing for the following exams:
NATIONAL TEST CENTER:
National Test Centers (NTC) offer on-site testing services to include College Level Examination Program (CLEP), DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), Pearson VUE online examinations and certifications and college proctoring.
BASIC SKILLS EDUCATION PROGRAM:
The Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP) provides soldiers instruction to improve basic educational competencies necessary for job proficiency, skill qualification, advanced schooling, and career progression. BSEP focuses on Math and Language Arts. This program is individualized and self-paced. The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) is administered for enrollment and placement. The Basic Skills is an on-duty program and requires commander approval/referral for attendance. Alternate on-line only programs are also available.
COMPUTER LABS:
The Camp Casey Education Center has three automated computer classrooms that can be used for Soldier training and general computer use. The computers require an Area 1 NIPR account. For our rotational Soldiers, please see your S6 to obtain an Area 1 account.
K16 EDUCATION CENTER:
K16 Education Center is located on the lower floor of the Community Activity Center, bldg. 302, room B108. K16 offers Counseling and Army Personnel Testing services and has a small computer lab for customer assistance. K-16 phone number is 315-722-8402 Hours are: Admin Mon - Fri 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Counseling/Testing 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
K16 Counselling and testing hours will vary. Camp Casey Education Center will assist Soldiers when requesting services not offered at K16 and/or Yongsan.
