A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
Lending Closet
Items are available for temporary loan include dishes, pots and pans, crock pots, irons, ironing boards, and much more. We do not provide linens. The Loan Closet is intended to provide you with temporary household items until your UB or HHG arrive, not to loan items for your entire tour in Korea. Accompanied service members are entitled to ship half of their joint federal travel regulations allowed weight to Korea. Other branches allow full JFTR weight allowances. See the household goods overview section for information on what to bring and what not to bring.
Relocation Assistance has a lending closet that provides a loan service of basic household items and utensils designed to assist active duty Service members, Department of Defense civilians and their family members until the arrival of their own hold baggage and household goods or after shipment of their household goods prior to departure from base.
Personnel must present a current identification card and a copy of the sponsor's unit assignment orders. Items are loaned for a 30-day period. An extension of 30 days may be granted if there is an adequate supply of the item or if an emergency situation exists.
In the event of a lost or damaged item from the lending closet, the client will be required to replace the item with an equivalent new item.
