When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
Check-in
All Marines checking into the following will report to the Installation Personnel Administration Center Inbound Center located in Building 13107:
A duty is on post 24 hours a day to endorse orders for Marines reporting aboard Camp Pendleton after normal working hours. For more information, call the IPAC Inbound Center at 760-763-6992. After hours phone the duty at 760-725-6271.
The Inbound Center’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For those arriving after hours on Saturdays and Sundays, please check in with the duty.
Students are required to check in directly with their schools. All service members must report in service “A” uniform.
Travel Claim Information
All Marines reporting aboard with funded permanent change of station orders are required to complete a travel claim. Therefore, to expedite payment of travel expenses, please ensure you have the following (if applicable):
Deployment Processing Command/Reserve Support Unit
Marines who are Individual Augmentees and on mobilized orders should report to the S-3 Processing Section in Building 64434. Marines coming to Camp Pendleton on Annual Training, Reserve Counterpart Training, or Active Duty for Special Work orders should report to the Adjutant Office in Building 64385. All others should report directly to the S-3 in Building 64382. The Deployment Processing Command functions on a year-round basis, providing all administrative reserve services for Camp Pendleton. Navy Personnel
All Navy personnel assigned to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton should report to the officer of the day at the quarterdeck located in Building H-100, Naval Hospital, during and after working hours. All other Navy personnel will report to Building 1223 for further assignment aboard Camp Pendleton or should report to the appropriate Navy Personnel Office (i.e., 1st Marine Logistics Group, Division, etc.). Temporary Lodging
All personnel checking into Camp Pendleton are advised to make reservations for Temporary Lodging and/or Billeting up to one year in advance due to the large number of personnel incoming to and outgoing from Camp Pendleton. The summer months are extremely busy for PCS moves, so PLAN AHEAD.
The Pacific Views Lodge (Bldg 202870) is located near the main gate, their phone numbers are 760-763-7805/7806/7807/7809.
The Ward Lodge (Bldg 1310) is located in the 13 Area near the San Luis Rey Gate, their phone number is 760-725-5304.
The Harborsite Inn (Bldg 210440) is located in the 21 Area near Del Mar Marina, their phone number is 760-725-9601.
Settling-in Services/Welcome Aboard Orientation
The Base Welcome Aboard Brief is currently held by invitation at the Base Theatre, Bldg 1330. It takes place twice a month providing relocation information to new arrivals. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend. Call toll free 800-253-1624 or 760-725-5704/6090 for more information.
If you get married after receiving your PCS orders and before checking into your new command, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. If the service-member gets married after their previous command and before arriving to their new command, they should visit the nearest DEERS facility and enroll your spouse and any other new qualifying family member in the system, visit the RAPIDS Appointment Scheduler for additional information.
The next step is to register your new dependent into the TRICARE System to ensure they are medically covered. Their phone number is 844-866-9378. The military will not reimburse the travel expenses for dependents that are not specifically mentioned in your travel orders, to include spouses acquired during the PCS move. You and your spouse may not qualify for housing entitlements if you do not follow proper procedures. Also, please read and understand MARADMIN 535/19 for those marrying foreign nationals.
