Temporary Housing

Eligibility

Military personnel or civilian government employees having official Temporary Additional Duty orders are eligible to reserve transient quarters at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. All authorized patrons may use this facility. Active-duty military with permanent change of station orders have first priority for reservations.

There are no Bachelor SNCO or Officer Barracks onboard Camp Pendleton.

All personnel checking into Camp Pendleton are advised to make reservations for temporary lodging at Ward Lodge (hostess house) or billeting (transient quarters) up to one year in advance. There are large numbers of personnel incoming to and outgoing from Camp Pendleton. Single service members are assigned barracks by their new command. The summer months are extremely busy for PCS moves.

Pets are not allowed in temporary housing. Camp Pendleton Base Housing Office has referrals for pet lodging.

Pacific View Lodge:

Located in Building 202870, the South Mesa Lodge has a panoramic ocean view, adjacent to the South Mesa Club. All 69 rooms have ocean views and flat-screen TVs. There are 48 deluxe rooms and 21 suites. For reservations, call 760-763-7805/7806/7807/7808 or fax 760-237-3559.

• Suites are $147 a night (600 square feet)
• Deluxe rooms are $92 a night (400 square feet)

Directions: Enter Camp Pendleton’s main gate, turn right on Wire Mountain Road, then turn left on San Jacinto Road. The lodge is at the end, just past the South Mesa Club.

Ward Lodging:

Reservations can be made as early as six months in advance. To guarantee your reservation, the first night’s rent must be received no later than two days prior to the start of reservation.
