If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. The J. Willis Cantey Continuing Education Services Center houses 18 classrooms, a science laboratory, four computer labs and two testing rooms. In addition, the 35,000-square-foot structure houses a learning center, four college and university offices, and the Transition Assistance Program. The Education Center, Building 4600, is on Strom Thurmond Blvd. and Liberty Division Road across the street from Burger King and next to the Thomas Lee Hall Library. Multi-Learning Facility
The Multi-Learning Facility offers computers to assist in training, education, and professional and self-development. Individualized computer-based instruction provides students with numerous self-paced programs in such areas as Collegiate & Career Readiness Enhancement (C2RE) Program, formerly known as Basic Skills in Education Program (BSEP) and computer applications.
