A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Relocation Readiness Program Loan Closet offers basic household items for temporary loan to families awaiting the arrival of their household goods shipment.

Orders to Fort Jackson and an identification card are required to check items out. Civilian employees are asked to present their offer letter as evidence of employment. Contact Army Community Service if you are in need of any basic household goods. They can be reached by calling 803-751-5256, option 3. All lending closet service are curbside.
The Relocation Readiness Program office at Fort Jackson offers services for newly arriving soldiers and their family members. Program services which include the Lending Closet are specially designed to make the transition into our community an easier more pleasant experience.
Lending Closet
The Lending Closet provides basic housekeeping items for temporary loan to incoming and outgoing families and in other cases when determined appropriate. Items include pots and pans, air fryers, dishes, silverware, irons and ironing boards, toasters, coffee pots, cots, sleeping mats, and other items. Initially the items are loaned out for 30 days if additional time is required due to delays in household deliveries requests for extensions are granted in two-week increments. Orders to Fort Jackson and an identification card are required to check items out. Civilian employees are asked to present their offer letter as evidence of employment. We do not provide baby items, bed linens, pillows or towels. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The lending closet is located at 9810 Liberty Division Road.
