A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
As a new arrival, you may feel like you're in limbo while waiting for your household goods. We're here to help make things easier and, when you're ready to leave, we would like to help make your farewell as painless as possible. While you wait for your household goods, or after they've been packed for departure, we're happy to loan out items free of charge!

The Loan Closet is located in Building 1113 at the Luke Airman and Family Readiness Center. Access to the Loan Closet is during duty hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Loan items are available to relocating military and DoD civilians. You need a military/DoD ID card to check out items as well as a set of orders. Loans are available for two weeks, if you need an extension call 623-856-6550, extensions are based on availability.
Luke Air Force Base has a consignment thrift store located in Building 1525. It’s open Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Consignments is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 623-856-6415.
Enlisted personnel and their family members, E-5 or below, can acquire items from the Airman’s Attic free of charge. Items are donated by other service members and civilians. This nonprofit operation is staffed by volunteers and is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays in Building 1525. For additional information, call 623-856-6415.
NEW ITEM: Military-issue clothing is available at the Airman's Attic, which is open to all ranks.
