On-base family housing is privatized housing and managed by The Mayroad. Family housing at McConnell AFB is assigned by rank and bedroom qualification. The time on the wait list varies depending on availability. Availability - On-base housing availability varies depending on rank and bedroom qualifications. Service members are eligible to apply for on-base housing upon receipt of orders to McConnell AFB. Placement on the wait list does not guarantee availability upon arrival. Temporary lodging should be secured in advance of arriving with your family and families should be prepared to pay for lodging (above and beyond the Temporary Lodging Expense) until adequate housing can be secured.
Area - McConnell AFB is located in the Southeast portion of Wichita, KS.
Pets - There is a maximum of 2 pets (dogs or cats) and you are required to pay a $200 per pet deposit. This deposit will be refunded, less any damages, at move-out. The Mayroad has adopted the Air Force policy on banned/aggressive breeds.

Military Housing OfficeThe Military Housing Office (MHO) is the point of contact for everyone when making living arrangements on and off base. Options include dormitory and military family housing, apartment, rental house and home purchases. There are 38 officer family units and 343 enlisted family units.
