When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
Contact your unit before arrival for any required quarantine protocols applicable to check-in. Your sponsor at MCLB Barstow will arrange to meet you on the first official day, and walk you through the check-in process. Your first stop on your official check-in day will be the Military Personnel Office located in Building 15 (760) 577-6663 or After receiving your reporting endorsement and check-in sheet, you can then proceed to check in to the other sections. Be sure to check-in with the Uniformed Readiness Coordinator, at Base Safety, Bldg. 198 (760) 577-650 . Register for a Welcome Aboard brief with I&R/Relocation at Bldg. 126 or call (760) 577-6675. The uniform for all Marines reporting for duty is the Service Alphas. If arriving after normal duty hours, report to the Command Duty Officer, Building 15.

The military will not pay for travel and housing of your new spouse if you do not follow proper procedures or are married after your departure date. If you get married before your permanent change of station, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as they are given to you.
