Government Housing Overview

When planning for a move with the military, you might consider moving into government housing. Government housing is owned and maintained by the Department of Defense and is typically on the installation. Eligibility and availability for this type of housing may vary by service member, family size and installation. Housing Application Procedures

All applications can be faxed to the housing office at 760-577-6071 in advance of your permanent change of station. Include a copy of your orders showing your detachment date. You may also email your application to the email address listed above.

Eligibility

All officers and enlisted personnel accompanied by bona fide family members are eligible to apply for military family housing.

Availability

Desert View housing – There are 66 quarters in Desert View housing that include junior enlisted, senior non-commissioned officers and company-grade quarters. Quarters include two-, three- and four-bedroom units.

Quarters Street -- There are eight homes that are field grade quarters, including three- and four-bedroom units.
