School-age care programs may be located in Department of Defense youth centers, child development centers or in other suitable facilities. All programs are certified by the Department of Defense and accredited by a national accrediting body, such as the Council on Accreditation.
School-Age Care (SAC) is offered Monday through Friday from 5:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. SAC provides children a safe and fun place for before and after school and on any school non-attendance days. The SAC is open to the children of active-duty military personnel, DoD civilian employees and DoD contractors.
