Loan Closet

The Fleet & Family Support Center, Bldg. #27, Ranger Street., has a limited number of "Loaner" Hospitality Kits set up for a family of 4. Kits include pots & pans, dishes, flatware, toaster, coffee maker, basic necessities to tide you over until your household goods arrive. Other loaner items include single-wide sleep mats.  These items are available for check-out as part of a PCS move and require verification of that status for eligibility.  Feel free to contact the Relocation Assistance Program Specialist at FFSC, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL at 904-542-5745 for details.

We do not have linens, furniture or appliances.

To check these out, the service member or spouse must present the service members orders and have a current military I.D. card, address and telephone number. Duration of loan is normally not to exceed 30 days for stateside moves and up to 45 days for overseas moves.  Extensions in any situation will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  When the checked out loan closet items are returned, it is important to bring everything back clean and all items checked out on the inventory sheet are accounted for.  Items inventoried that are broken or lost must be replaced by the borrower.

The Navy Wives Club operates the Thrift Shop (Not-So-New Shop), located in the rear of Bldg 13, on the left just prior to entering the Yorktown Ave. (Main Gate) entrance. It is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Call 904-542-1582 during open hours for additonal information.
