Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
Once your PCS orders are in hand, you should be contacted by a Sponsor from your gaining command. This person becomes your partner in your move and they can be very helpful by providing additional information and answering questions for you. You can also contact the Relocation (RELO) Assistance Program Specialist at your current duty station, along with reaching out to the RELO Specialist at your new duty station, who is also willing to help you.
NAS Jacksonville’s Relocation Assistance Program office is located in the FFSC, Building 27, located on Ranger Street. This office provides complete relocation services, including information from more than 258 military installations. Call 904-542-4977 for additional information.
Other services provided include permanent change of station housing resources; information on Navy and Marine Corps bases, both within the continental United States and outside the U.S.; Information and Referral service; individual relocation counseling; relocation information workshops; sponsor training; Move/Mil; Smooth Move; and Welcome Aboard briefs.
Relocation Assistance
Assistance and guidance is available for newcomers at the Fleet and Family Support Center. Additional services include hospitality Loan Locker kits. The Loan Locker has kitchen kits and sleep pads available for loan on a first-come, first-served basis, for inbound personnel who may be waiting on their household goods to arrive. Items loaned can be checked out for up to 30 days for a stateside move and 45 for overseas move. A copy of the service member's orders and a military identification card are required for verification. Contact the FFSC, NAS JAX Relocation Specialist at 904-542-4977 if you have any questions.
