Youth Employment

There are many employment opportunities for youth 17 years and older in the areas of fast food services, retail sales and life guards. For assistance contact Fleet and Family Support Center, Family Employment Readiness Program, at 850-452-5990 ext.0.

The NAS Pensacola and Corry Station Youth Center offer comprehensive programs to satisfy the needs of young family members ages 5(must be in kindergarten) to 12 years old. Both centers are modern facilities that offer a game room, gym, computer lab, snack area, arts/crafts and many other various activities.

School-Age Child Care is a daily program from 5:30am to 6:30pm to accommodate attendance before and after school. Transportation to and from the listed schools to the Youth Center are available.

Hellen Caro Elementary

Middle Schools:

Jim Bailey Middle School (mornings and afternoons)

Additional programs include summer, winter and spring break camps; computer lab; instructional classes and Youth League. Special events such as lock-ins, fun runs, carnivals, dances, field trips and more are held periodically. Open recreation nights are open to all authorized dependents during the school year. Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Programs are also available through the Youth Center.

Teen Center

Corry Station offers a Teen Center for teens of authorized military and DoD children, ages 13-18 years of age. Corry Station Teen Center offers a variety of programs such as Anchored 4 life, a youth sponsorship program for incoming students, Keystone, Passport to Manhood, SMART Girls, as well as additional programs and activities which include:

• Field trips
• Beach pool parties
• Dances
• Shopping trips
• Paintball
• Talent shows
• Wii tournaments
