Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
Deployment Support Program
Deployments are a way of life for military families - it can be one of the most difficult aspects of military life. NAS Pensacola Fleet & Family Support Center's Deployment Support Program offers multiple services to help the military members and family members understand the deployment assignment. Our Deployment Support Program is designed to help the military member (single or married), as well as family members understand and anticipate the physical & emotional demands associated with deployment.
Pre-deployment preparation is a key factor in making a deployment less stressful for you and your family. The Fleet & Family Support Center at NAS Pensacola offers Pre-Deployment and IA Deployment Readiness briefs.
The half-way point of a deployment is a time to look forward to a "Welcome Home" and make sure everyone is doing well and check on any possible needs. Briefs are offered on Mid-Deployment for family members.
Going from a complete family to single-parent and back again is tough on the military member, spouses and children. Post Deployment briefs are offered for military and family members, as well as help for reintegration of single, married military personnel to include same gender partners and family members.
Services are offered in a one-on-one, walk-in basis, or as a command brief. All of our programs are tailored to fit the specific need of the active duty and family members.
A variety of brochures and booklets, geared toward military children (age appropriate), deploying personnel, and family members are also offered. Services are available for service members or their eligible family members for topics, such as Budgeting for Deployment, Legal Preparation, Disaster Preparedness while Deployed, and Child Clinical Counseling.
