Disaster Preparedness
NAS Pensacola, Fleet & Family Support Center provides command briefs virtually and/or in-person to assist DoD personnel and their authorized family members in being prepared for catastrophic events, either natural or manmade that has the potential to impact the Gulf Coast region. In the event a natural or manmade event strikes near or around the Pensacola area, the Fleet and Family Support Center, when activated, will stand-up an Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC).
An EFAC is a central location for DoD personnel and their families to access assistance and resources that they may need following a disaster. EFACs provide a full spectrum of support in response to a crisis or event, including Authorized Departures.
Upon arrival at any command on NAS Pensacola and/or Corry Station, make sure you and your family members are registered in the Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System (NFASS), the Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (AFPAAS) or the Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS). These systems are used to assess, manage, and monitor the recovery process for personnel and their families affected and/or scattered by a wide-spread catastrophic event.
