Loan Closet Overview

A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good.  This  program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.

Items Available

NAS Pensacola Fleet and Family Support Center, Relocation Office offers Loan closets for single Service Members and Military Families (a.k.a. Kitchen Hospitality Kits) for a family of 4.  This includes pots and pans, cutting boards, knives, mixing bowls, trivets, kitchen towels, coffee pot, toaster, dishes, cups, bowls, etc.

How to Borrow

To check out a Loan closet, Service Members or Military Spouse must present the Service Member's PCS orders and have a current military ID card, address (can be a temporary lodging address) and include a telephone number (can be your command phone number). Duration cannot exceed 30 days unless pre-arranged with the Relocation Office. Return all items complete and clean - replace what is lost or damaged.

Furniture items, linens, appliances, play pens, high chairs, car seats, futons or sleep pads are not available.

Where to Go

Military personnel who need a Kitchen Hospitality Set need to come to the Fleet and Family Support Center, Building 625, 151 Ellyson Ave., NAS Pensacola.

The NMCRS Thrift Store is located on the Corry Station, at Bldg 3736 on Chief’s Way (Between the Gym and the Bowling Alley). Items offered are: housewares, books, civilian clothing, uniforms, and baby items - no large furniture items or appliances. Drop off box is located adjacent to the Thrift Store.
