If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. NAS Pensacola does not have any adult education enrichment classes offered at this time.
No colleges are offered through the NAS Pensacola Fleet and Family Support Center, all available college programs are offered through the NAS Pensacola Virtual Education Center.
Virtual Education Center (VEC – a.k.a. Navy College)
The NAS Pensacola VEC provides voluntary educational opportunities that support and enhance education, training and career development.
Civilian education counselors are available to assist active duty personnel with SMART (Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript) Transcripts, DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) Testing and Navy Tuition Assistance.

Active Duty Military Spouses
My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of tuition assistance to eligible military spouses who are pursuing a license, certification or associate degree in a portable career field and occupation that can transfer with you to the next duty station of your military member.
