The Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department at NAS Whiting is an active, on going program that keeps the military children busy and involved.
There is not a Youth Center onboard NAS Whiting Field, however the Morale Welfare and Recreation Department does offer services and events for the youths that consist of the following but is not limited to:

The Fleet & Family Support Center Relocation Assistance Office has information available to children who are relocating to the area, such as activities booklets, housing community Functions, seasonal functions, (Easter events, Operation Elf,) etc.
There are many employment opportunities for youths, 17 years and older in the areas of fast food services, retail sales, and some clerical.
Workforce Escarosa provides services to youth between the ages of 14 - 21 who are either at risk of dropping out of school or already out of school to facilitate the completion of an education program. When the participants complete their education program, they are then transitioned into employment.

Boys & Girls Clubs
Boys & Girls Clubs of America has a lineup of tested and proven nationally recognized programs that address today's most pressing youth issues, teaching young people the skills they need to succeed in life.
National programs are available in the areas of education, the environment, health, the arts, careers, alcohol/drug and pregnancy prevention, gang prevention, leadership development and athletics.
