Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
Welcome to Naval Air Station Whiting Field. Relocation services are provided through a shared effort between the Fleet and Family Support Center, the Personal Property Office and the Administration Office onboard NASWF and the Personnel Support Detachment which is located onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola.
Smooth Move classes are held at the FFSC on a regular basis. All personnel must check out with the NASWF Administrative Office before departing the base.
Your FFSC is the first stop before and after your move. The Relocation Assistance manager can tap into a variety of resources to guide you through your change in environment.
The Relocation Office at NASWF will mail out Welcome Aboard packets upon request. The packets consist of, but are not limited to, newcomers guides, maps of the local area, and apartment and home guides, all at no-cost.
Relocation Assistance
The FFSC has Welcome Aboard packets filled with information to assist you with your relocation needs. The FFSC also has a limited Loan Locker that has single sleeper futons, folding tables, chairs and other household items you may need until your own property arrives. These items are available for check-out for a period of two weeks but can be extended upon request. The relocation staff may be reached at 850-623-7177, or DSN 312-868-7177.
Installation newcomer briefs for NASWF are conducted by the command career counselor, as needed. All newly-reporting enlisted servicemembers must attend the Command Indoctrination Program. Please contact your sponsor or FFSC for details.
Training Air Wing Five, the tenant command of NASWF, holds new student indoctrinations for newly-reporting student aviators checking into the Primary Flight Training Program.
