Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
Travel emergencies
The best planning can help minimize disruptions, but it can't prevent an emergency. If you are traveling from one duty station to another, it's important to keep all your important documents with you-never allow them to be packed with your household goods. Ensure you have contact information for both your command's quarterdeck and your sponsor while you are en route. Use your personal email address until you can get email update from your command with your CAC card.
In case of an emergency during travel, contact a local hospital or roadside assistance, depending on the emergency. If you are near a military installation, seek help there.
For after-hours support, or if you're not near a military installation, reach out to the nearest chapter of the American Red Cross at 877-272-7337 to request assistance from the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. Military OneSource can provide you with valuable resources; call 800-342-9647 for help.

Today's Red Cross is keeping pace with the changing military. Using the latest in computer and telecommunications technology, the Red Cross sends communications on behalf of family members who are facing emergencies or other important events to members of the U.S. Armed Forces serving all over the world. These communications are delivered around the clock, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
The Hero Care Network by the Red Cross helps military personnel stay connected with their families during critical times, such as a family member's death, serious illness, or the birth of a child. On behalf of the family, an emergency communication message is sent to service members stationed anywhere in the world, including on ships, at embassies, or in remote military units. These messages inform the service member of the situation, confirm the emergency for their command, and can start a case for assistance from NMCRS if necessary.
To send an emergency communication:
