With certain military moves, you may find yourself looking for housing that’s a little less permanent before making long-term arrangements. There are several temporary housing options that may be right for you. Explore the information about temporary housing facilities including allowances, lodging rates and eligibility.
The Navy Lodge is located on First Street and has up to 80 accommodations. It includes free local telephone calls, highchairs, cribs, coffee, ice, daily newspapers, rollaway beds, furnished kitchenettes and cable television. Call 228-864-3101 for additional information or for reservations. It is within walking distance of the Navy Exchange, beauty and barber shops, mini-mart, gas station, the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Youth Center, Navy Federal Credit Union, fitness center and the Child Development Center. All accommodations are air-conditioned with private baths and family accommodations. The facility is all nonsmoking. Pets are allowed with restrictions. Hours of operation are 24/7. Numerous hotels and motels are located within three miles of the base. The Combined Bachelor Housing Office can supply a list of those closest to Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport.
Temporary Lodging
Navy Inn has rooms available for personnel with rates that vary starting from $95 per day. Reservations can be made at any time prior to arrival. The Navy Inn can be found at 385 Fifth St, Building 313, and can be reached at any time by calling 228-871-2505.
Pet rooms may be available, however, the Fleet and Family Support Center, your command sponsor or the internet also can provide information on area boarding kennels.
