Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
Fleet and Family Support Center or your sponsor can offer information about Newcomers' Orientation, in processing for Naval Construction Training Center training students, spouse orientation programs, lending locker usage, lodging reservations, finding an apartment, the Exceptional Family Member program and more about the area. For information on dates and times, contact the FFSC at 1-800-342-3525. The FFSC has a lending closet with minor household items which can be borrowed for 30 days free of charge. They do not have furniture items such as TV's, beds or sofas. Bring a copy of orders. Verify through the Personnel Services Activity Detachment office or your current Command Financial Counselor the entitlements for Temporary Living Assistance. You can also find out in advance what expenses will be reimbursed by the Navy. For temporary lodging, check-out the GSA Lodging website which provides travelers with non-capacity controlled availability, safe and convenient locations, additional complimentary amenities, direct billing, and rates within per diem allowance.

Relocation Assistance
The Fleet & Family Support Center can help you prepare for your PCS move stateside or overseas, retiring, or separating from active duty. The Center offers a variety of services that can help you manage the financial aspects of your move, help you get settled in your new community and provide extensive information about the Mississippi Gulf Coast area. FFSC Exceptional Family Member and Medical Services also offer information and assist families with special needs members. Lending Locker items are available to active duty service members on PCS orders. Families may use these items while they wait for their household goods to arrive or after they have been shipped.
