Legal Assistance

The 501st Combat Support Wing's Office of the Staff Judge Advocate provides a full range of legal services. They have staffed offices at RAF Alconbury, RAF Croughton, RAF Fairford, and Stavanger Air Base. The following services are available to all service members, retired service members, DOD civilians and their family members by appointment only:

• Powers of Attorney
• Notary services
• Legal assistance

Status of Forces Agreement

The legal office is located in Building 582 above the Community Bank. No walk-in services available. Must contact legal by emailing them at 501CSWJA@us.af.mil for an appointment. Messages are returned within 1-3 business days.

USAF Claims

As of March 1, 2007, most claims filed for missing or damaged property are handled via the Air Force Claims Service Center, located in Dayton Ohio at 1050 Forrer Blvd, Dayton OH 45420-1472. They can be reached at toll-free, 877-754-1212 or DSN 312-986-8044. The base legal still handles a limited type of property damage and personal injury claims. Contact the base legal office for more information.

To begin the claims process, contact the base legal office or Air Force Claims website to obtain your username and password. If you do not have access to a government computer, contact them directly at https://claims.jag.af.mil/, 877-754-1212 or DSN 314-986-8044.
