Military and Family Support Center Overview

The Military and Family Support Center is one part of a larger network of agencies, programs, services, partnerships and individuals that supports your personal and family readiness. The larger system called the Military Family Readiness System is a web of support for you and your family. The Military and Family Support Center should be one of your first stops once you arrive at a new installation. The programs and services they offer are a key resource for you and your family.

The Federal Voting Assistance Program ensures service members, their eligible family members and overseas citizens have the tools and resources to register to vote and request an absentee ballot, regardless of their state of residence. The Voting Assistance Guide is a reference guide for everything you need to know about absentee voting in all 50 states, the U.S. territories and the District of Columbia.

Military and Family Support Centers provide information, education and support programs to help balance the demands of military life. Offerings include:

  • Deployment support to assist you and your family during all phases of the deployment cycle. Learn more about deployment support.

The Royal Air Force Alconbury Military & Family Readiness Center is located in Building 671 directly across the street from the school. To contact our center from the U.S., dial 011-44-1480-843557 or DSN 314-268-3557. We are five hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

The RAF Alconbury M&FRC provides all standard family center programs and is an initial important point of contact for all newcomers. The RAF Alconbury M&FRC facilitates the 501st Newcomers Orientation which all Active Duty Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines must attend in uniform. All family members, civilian employees, contractors and the National Interagency Fire Center troops and families are encouraged to participate. Helpful information is offered to assist newcomers in navigating the base and local U.K. systems.

We ask that once you arrive, and sign in to your respective Unit, come to the M&FRC to get signed up for Base Newcomer's prior to beginning your inprocessing appointments.
