Child Care

 Child and Youth Services provides programs and services for children of eligible military and civilian families. Within CYS you will find something to meet your children’s needs, including:

• Full, part time or hourly child care
• Before/after school care
• Camps
• Programs for your middle school and teen youth
• Instructional classes
• Workforce preparation opportunities
• Sports and fitness activities 

Today’s CYS programs, deemed a "model for the nation" by Presidential acclaim, continue to operate on these cornerstones:

• Quality – Child care is DoD-certified and nationally accredited
• Availability – Child care is available on- and off-post
• Affordability – Fees for various programs are competitively priced and affordable regardless of sponsor's income
• Accountability - To safeguard the Army's resources by efficient management oversight, good fiscal stewardship, reducing waste and protecting assets of programs and services to Soldiers and their Families.

Parent Central Services is your one stop shop for access to all programs. This is where you will find the instructions and forms to enroll your children with CYS and to register for:

• Childcare: Child Development Center, School-Age Center and Army Child Care in Your Neighborhood community based center programs.
• Youth Program (Middle School and Teens)
• Parent Education

The School Age Program offers before and after school care, school holiday care, an evening program and summer camp for children kindergarten through teenage. School Age Services offers before and after school care throughout the school year and for scheduled vacations and snow days. The program also offers a Computer Lab and Homework Center, both with instructors. All children must be enrolled in CYS to use the SAS programs. Fees are based on DOD guidelines. Child & Youth Services (CYS) provides quality programming for children 6 weeks through 12th grade. Our services are offered through various programs to include Family Child Care (FCC), Child Development Center (CDC), School Age Services (SAS), Youth Services, (YS) Middle School & Teen (MST) and School Liaison Services (SLS).

All programs strive to promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children and youth by providing a safe and nurturing environment. Our well trained staff are committed to offering high quality, developmentally appropriate programming for each child based on ages, abilities, interests, personality and cultural backgrounds.

CYS programs are offered as a supplement to eligible families of the Tobyhanna Army Depot community. Two state of the art facilities constructed in 2008 provides 190-210 child & youth spaces for a variety of programming.
