Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
The Army Community Service Relocation Readiness Program provides customized in- and out-bound assistance to all military and civilians. You can reach the relocation specialist at 570-615-6682. Our many services include informational welcome packets, pre-departure services for soldiers and family members, permanent change of station tips, and a needs assessment.
Newcomers Orientation provides one-on-one depot tours and overviews to familiarize new military members and families with installation services and activities. The Lending Closet is fully stocked with basic household goods such as dishes, pots, pans, silverware, bakeware, towels, toasters, coffee makers and irons.
Installation-Specific Information
Welcome to Tobyhanna Army Depot. We realize that you are new to the area and probably have many questions about your new community. The staff of the ACS RRP are here to provide you with that information and, if/when necessary, refer you to the agency or service that will best suit your needs. If you have been here for awhile, and are looking for a specific service in the area, we can assist you as well providing all newly arriving military who in-process with an electronic welcome packet if they haven't yet received one. The packet contains information about the general area, schools, housing, shopping, medical facilities and local area maps.
Pre-departure services are available to prepare soldiers and family members for their PCS. A pre-departure package includes a guide to military moving, PCS tips, cost of living comparison, a needs assessment and more.
Newcomers Orientations provide one-on-one depot tours and overviews to familiarize new military members and families with installation services and activities. Contact the relocation specialist to arrange a Newcomers Orientation.
We also have a Lending Closet that includes coffee pots and toasters, irons and ironing boards, towels, dinnerware sets, and cookware and utensils – but no linens.
Other relocation programs include geographically separated family support, multicultural families support, overseas orientation and re-entry workshops, relocation consultations, and sponsor training. The RRP is an excellent place to start planning for your upcoming move. There are several resources available to help you manage the physical and emotional aspects associated with your move.
Separation procedures from Tobyhanna Army Depot are done through the soldiers’ unit or through Carlisle Barracks. We have information on many programs and services in Monroe County and the surrounding area.
